Once you have created your account, you need to validate your identity to maintain a commercial relationship with CopeCart and receive your payouts promptly.

KYC

This validation process, known as Know Your Client (KYC) verification, is used to confirm that the user is a legitimate entity and to ensure that business transactions are legitimate and without fraudulent intent.

When logging in to CopeCart, you will be notified to proceed with the KYC validation process to receive your payouts.

We strongly suggest you move forward with the validation immediately, as the verification process may take some time to complete. Doing so now will help ensure a quick and hassle-free experience.

If you do not see a notification, please go to the account settings, select the "Account Settings" tab, and fill in the details and your address.

To begin, please follow the instructions in the yellow banner. Failure to provide this information will prevent you from clicking the Start verification button.

Add your address and select your Sales Tax Scheme.

If you are an individual and don't have a company, please leave the 'company' field blank. This field is only required if you are a business owner and wish to receive payouts to your company's bank account.

After making changes, always, click the "Save changes" button at the top right, then add your bank details under Payment Account to receive payouts.

There are two ways, you can choose to be paid:

1) Via ACH (inside the USA)

2) Wire transfer (bank accounts outside the USA).

The payouts are processed on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of each month (if it’s a weekend or holiday, the payment will be performed on the next business day). You can select if you want to be paid weekly, biweekly, or monthly. The minimum payment we are able to process is in the amount of $250; however, you can set a greater sum.

Please be aware that there is an associated bank fee of $40 for each transfer.

Next, click the "Start Verification Now" button, read the pop-up message, and proceed with the verification. If the yellow banner is still visible, we suggest double-checking that all the necessary information has been added and saved accurately.

Documents

You’ll need to upload the following documents to complete the validation:

  • Selfie*: Please use your device's camera to take a selfie holding your ID (with the front side visible)) next to your face.

  • ID*: Please scan your ID (front and back) in PDF format. If you scan your passport, please submit the first page that displays your personal information. Kindly utilize the same ID that was used for the selfie.

  • Proof of address*: a recent proof of personal address or business address (bank statement, utility bill, etc.)

  • Trade office document: Do you have a business? If not, you may skip these requirements. If you have a business, please upload a PDF of your organization’s business license.

  • Tax form*: To complete your registration with CopeCart, we require some basic tax information. This applies to all Vendors, Affiliates, businesses, and sole proprietors:

    -If you are a US Citizen, resident of the United States, or business within the United States (including territories), you must complete IRS Form W9.

    -If you are not an American citizen, not a resident of the United States, and your business is conducted outside the United States, you must complete IRS Form W-8BEN.

  • Bank statement*: a copy of a recent bank statement matching the personal information on your CopeCart account. The name on the bank statement must match the beneficiary name of the bank account that is linked to your account. If you are registered as a company, we suggest you provide the banking details of your company bank account or your payouts may be rejected.

Important: If all the steps have been completed and all the necessary documents have been provided, one will still encounter a validation notification within their account. This is a normal occurrence and will remain so until our team has successfully verified the account.

FAQ

How long does the validation take?

The verification process conducted by CopeCart consists of a meticulous review of your submitted documents and information to ensure they meet the required criteria. Your documents may take up to 48 hours to be reviewed.

Should any of your documents be incorrect, illegible, or missing, we will be in contact with you to solicit these documents from you directly. It is important to be aware that the validation process does not take place immediately and may take a certain length of time to complete.

Upon successful verification of a new user by our support team, your account will be validated, thus enabling you to receive your payouts.

The validation process does not start/ I cannot upload a selfie/ my camera does not work:

Some CopeCart members may not be able to validate on their devices. We ask you to run the validation again on another device. Please clear your cache and use another browser if you still can't start the validation. Open an incognito window and start the validation.

Can I create an account if I am underage?

To successfully validate your account with CopeCart, you must be of legal age (+18)

Can I change the name of the account owner?

CopeCart accounts are strictly personal and cannot be transferred to someone else for any reason. There are certain exceptions in which we can make changes such as fixing typos, replacing a nickname with your actual name, updating a married name, or recognizing an officially changed name. If your reason has been mentioned before, please let us know so we can send you the new instructions to make this change.

I have submitted all my documents but I am still being asked to validate my account, have I been denied and have to complete it again?

No, once you have submitted all your documents, the notification asking you to validate your account will remain visible until your submissions are reviewed and your account is validated.
