CopeCart is committed to maintaining a safe, lawful, and trustworthy marketplace for all users. If you believe that a product listed on our platform, or a vendor using our services, is engaging in suspicious activity or infringing upon intellectual property rights, please follow the procedures outlined below to report your concerns.

How to Report a Product or Vendor

  1. Submit a Report via Email: Please send your report to support-us@copecart.com.

  2. Provide Detailed Information: Include all relevant details about the product or vendor in question. This may include product names, vendor names, and a description of the suspected infringement or suspicious activity.

  3. For Customers:

  • Contact us using the email address associated with your order.

  • Provide your order number, transaction ID, or invoice ID. This can be located in you order confirmation email.

  • If you do not have this information, please provide the last four digits of the payment card used, or specify the payment method (e.g., PayPal, BNPL), along with the date and amount of the transaction.

    4. For Non-Customers:

  • Provide any URLs related to the product (such as checkout pages, sales pages, or social media links) and the vendor’s name to help us locate the relevant listing.

    5. Subject Line: Use the subject line: “Report of Product/Vendor – [Brief Description]”.

    6. Supporting Evidence: Attach any supporting documentation, such as screenshots or screen recordings, that may assist our investigation.

    7. Additional Details: In your report, include any other information you believe is relevant to our review.

For Sellers: Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a seller and have identified a product on CopeCart that you believe infringes your intellectual property rights:

  • Details of your original product, including all relevant URLs.

  • Documentation demonstrating your ownership of the intellectual property (e.g., copyright registration, trademark certificate).

  • Any prior correspondence with the vendor regarding the alleged infringement.

Intellectual Property Policy

CopeCart strictly prohibits the listing or sale of products and services that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of copyrights, trademarks, design rights, patents, and utility models.

Prohibited Items and Activities

  • Counterfeit Products: Unauthorized replicas or copies of genuine products.

  • Unauthorized Use of Copyrighted Material: Use of images, text, or other content without the rights holder’s permission.

  • Trademark Infringement: Use of protected brand names, logos, or symbols without authorization.

  • Design and Patent Infringement: Unauthorized use of protected designs or patented inventions.

  • Parallel Imports: Importing and selling genuine products without the consent of the intellectual property owner.

  • Right of Publicity Violations: Unauthorized use of an individual’s name, likeness, or other personal attributes for commercial purposes.

  • Misrepresentation of Warranty: Falsely claiming that a product is covered by a warranty or is associated with a particular brand.

Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring that all products and listings on CopeCart are authentic and do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. This includes verifying that all content, images, and product information are used lawfully and with proper authorization.

If a listing is found to be infringing, CopeCart reserves the right to remove the product and take appropriate action against the seller, including account suspension or termination.

Policy Rationale

This policy is designed to:

  • Protect the rights of intellectual property owners.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of the CopeCart marketplace.

  • Prevent the sale of counterfeit or unauthorized products, thereby reducing legal risks for both sellers and buyers.

Investigation and Enforcement

Upon receiving a report, CopeCart will promptly investigate the matter. We may request additional information from the reporting party or the seller. If infringement or suspicious activity is confirmed, CopeCart will take appropriate action, which may include removal of the product, suspension of the seller’s account, and, where necessary, cooperation with law enforcement authorities.
