An Affiliate Link allows the Affiliate to earn commissions by promoting Vendor products or services on CopeCart. This special link contains a unique identifier that allows the Vendor to identify the Affiliate and track their sales. This opens up the opportunity for the affiliate to generate passive income, as they are compensated for each referred sale. In addition, the affiliate link can help the Vendor expand its own reach and target potential customers that the Affiliate reaches.
The CopeCart Affiliate Link
A CopeCart affiliate link looks like this:
The items "PRODUCT ID" and "AFFILIATE USERNAME" have to be replaced with the unique CopeCart product ID and your unique affiliate username.
Tip: You will receive the "PRODUCT ID" on request from the respective vendor. As an affiliate, you can find your "AFFILIATEUSERNAME" under "Settings" -> "Account Settings" -> "Username".
Get the affiliate link
Option 1: Create a link through the marketplace
In the 'Marketplace' section of your CopeCart account, you can search for products vendors offer as an affiliate. You can then promote and sell them.
Open the CopeCart marketplace.
Click "Promote" for a product you would like to promote and copy the link.
Please note that if the vendor manually accepts affiliate requests, you must wait for confirmation before receiving your affiliate link.
If the vendor automatically accepts or confirms your request, simply click 'Copy URL' to generate your personal affiliate link for the product.
Option 2: Create a link manually in coordination with the vendor
Vendors can add an affiliate program directly when creating a product.
To do this, they must set a commission or amount and enter the appropriate affiliate username in the 'Affiliate ID' field.
Tip: As an affiliate, you can find your "Affiliate ID" under "Settings" -> "Account Settings" -> "Username".
The vendor will send you this link afterward, which you can use at your discretion. If you make a sale via this affiliate link, you will receive the corresponding commission as an affiliate.
